When searching for walks to do over Phillip Island way this one definitely stood out and I was very excited to see it. I think many others thought the same as the car park was pretty busy even at 10am.

Getting there: You can find it through google maps, if you search Forrest Caves Car Park. Its located just before Surf Beach. You will pass the Cape Kitchen on your left and you will then take the next left, this road will take you to the car park.

From the car park you walk up the stairs to access the beach. Along this walkway there are all different signs scattered along. Some about the wildlife, some about the vegetation and once you get closer to the beach there is one about the Forrest Caves Walk.

Once you walk onto the beach you want to turn left and walk along the beach. You will be able to see the rock formations in the distance, that is what you’re walking to. It took us about 10 mins to get there.

When you arrive at the big rock formation you can walk on top of it and look down into the caves, which is what most people were doing. Or you can make your way around and into the caves. We were a little late and the tide had started to come in so it was a little difficult to get into the caves.

Very enjoyable little walk with plenty to explore and an absolutely stunning beach with crystal clear waters.
