You can do this walk as a loop, we didn't have time to complete it but I will update the blog when we go back.

I have to say this walk came out of the blue when I was searching the internet one day. I had never heard of this walk before and I didn’t know it existed. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was only an 1 hr & 15 mins away from Newborough and has amazing views over the surrounding mountains. Reminds us a little of the Grampians just much closer to home.

Getting there: Google maps will be able to help finding this walk (that is how we found it). As you can see from the photo below there are a few different ways to get there. It’s about a 30 min drive from Heyfield and about 10 mins driving is on a dirt road, you will be able to get a 2wd up the road. It will also be added to the map in the Tab above.

You start your walk out from Huggets Lookout Car Park, which has a small picnic area where you have a couple of picnic tables and a camp fire pit. The walk starts across the road, you cant miss it, there is an orange sign with information on it and a well formed track.

As you start out, you will climb up a little bit but it’s not very steep and doesn’t last very long. It is very rocky so that is your biggest obstacle with this walk. It is very well signed most of the way, you either have orange arrows to follow or little orange squares that say walking track.

It’s a beautiful walk and a wonderful time to do it as there are lots of wildflowers out at the moment. It took us about 1 hour to reach the top. As you make your way up you get some spectacular views of the mountains and valleys, you don't get to see it just once you will come across about 3 different view points.

I loved everything about this walk, from the strange rock formations you come across to the magnificent views. The only problem we had was we encountered a couple of motorbikes at the very start of the walk and they were using the same track. Thankfully we didn't see them along the way because I could imagine that would be scary. Apart from that we loved it!
